VARAC VINTAGE GRAND PRIX 2023

VARAC vintage Grand Prix 2023

This past weekend we spent the weekend  at Canadian Tire Motorsport park for the Varac Vintage Festival.

We campaigned our multiple GT1 championship winning Triumph TR7 this weekend, with Rocco piloting the beast.

The  festival started on Thursday. This being the first time running this car since 2017, we had to dial in some suspension settings and make  sure everything was perfect for the weekend events.

Friday, we qualified in 1st in the CLA class and were ready for the upcoming races.

Saturday, Race 1 was held early morning we had an issue with a transmission oil leak causing oil to get on the clutch. This caused us drop back a couple positions. After the race we quickly pitted back in the paddock and got to work removing the transmission. We removed and replaced the clutch, put in our spare transmission and were ready for the afternoon race.

Race 2 went well, Rocco caught up quickly and finished the race 1st in class.

Sunday morning was Race 3 with some tough battles and lap times dropping Rocco again placed first in class!

Sunday afternoon was race 4. Rocco battled hard with the cars in the higher modern classic class causing him to breakout into the CLB class due to a lap time too fast for CLA. Even though we broke out we still placed first in class.

We were very impressed with the performance of our TR7 after so many years not racing. The setup and preparation of the RMP Competizione entry was nothing less then perfection. The weekend was very exciting and  fun filled.

We would like to thank our original supporters Molyslip and Bully Clutch!

SMP CUP 2023!

The second event of the CASC Pirelli GT Sprint Championship was held at Shannonville Motorsport Park. We were setup and ready for testing on Friday.
