July 22nd to 24th we were back at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park for the third CASC race event of the season.
Friday RMP Competizione had many sponsored drivers testing for the weekend. Everything went well and we were ready for the races.
In Saturday morning practice Rocco in the M235iR was fastest overall out of 36 cars and we were ready for qualifying.
Qualifying went well, in GT1 Rocco qualified 2nd behind fellow racer Mark Busscher in his T/A Camaro. RMP sponsored driver John Hansen qualified 3rd in GT2 and in GT3 Bruce Wylie qualified 1st.
Race 1 was held in the wet. With a surprise downpour we setup the M235iR for rain. With a hard fought race we finished 2nd place in GT1, in GT2 John Hansen placed 2ND .
After the rain race we spent the evening cleaning the car and setting up for the Sunday races.
Race 2 was a tough battle, Rocco battled hard from the beginning and made his way to win overall and in GT1! In GT2 John Hansen placed 1st as well with RMP driver Daria Khachi in 2nd!
Race 3 was late Sunday afternoon. Rocco started in 1st taking off on the first lap. Rocco lead the race flag to flag, bringing the M235iR to the overall and GT1 victory! In GT2 John Hansen placed 1st and once again Daria Khachi right behind in 2nd!
