The second last race weekend of the season was held at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
On Friday, there was only one dry session then the rest of the day it rained, we managed to get in some fast laps and we were ready for the races.
Saturday morning started well with some quick laps in warm up. In qualifying, Rocco Qualified 4th in GT1, Patrick Cyr 3rd in GT2, Bruce Wylie 3rd in GT3.
Race 1 was Saturday afternoon the race was very exciting and eventful with all the RMP drivers finishing well. Rocco 5th in GT1, John Hansen 1st in GT2, Daria Khachi 2nd in GT2 and Bruce Wylie 3rd in GT3.
Race 2 was early Sunday morning. Rocco battled against many of the very high hp GT1 Trans Am tube chassis cars holding on strong running consistent laps throughout the race he finished 3rd. In GT2 John Hansen came 2nd with Daria Khachi not far behind in 3rd.
Race 3 Sunday afternoon. With the weather changing before the race, we set up for rain and we were ready to go. Continuing the battles from the previous race Rocco ran consistent lap times securing the 3rd spot on the podium. In GT2 John Hansen finished 2nd and in GT3 Marek Petruczynik 2ndwith Bruce Wylie in 3rd.
Overall, the weekend was a great success the results have furthered our championship lead in GT1. All RMP entries did well. This proves that proper preparation and determination will deliver great results.
The next race weekend will be Oct 1-2 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
