Celebration of Motorsport was held at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park on October 4th, 5th and 6th. Early Friday morning we were on track with our M235iR and Bruce Wylie’s E46 M3 for testing. We dialed in some suspension settings and set our quickest lap time yet in the M235iR with a 1:24.4. With testing under our belt we were ready for the weekend events.
Michael DelleDonne arrived early Saturday to test his new M4 GT4 and was ready to race.
Practice and Qualifying went well, Rocco Marciello in the M235iR qualified 3rd in GT1 and Bruce Wylie 2nd in GT3.
Race 1 was a tough battle, we placed 4th in GT1 among 20+ cars ranging from Trans am cars to ex grand am Corvettes. In GT3 Bruce Wylie placed 4th.
Race 2 was held Sunday morning in wet rainy conditions. We set up each car for the rain race. Rocco Marciello placed 2nd in GT1 and Bruce Wylie 3rd in GT3.
Race 3, the final race of the weekend was were back to sunny dry conditions. With quick and consistent lap times, Rocco Marciello battled once again with the higher horsepower V8 race cars and was able to finish a respectable 4th position in GT1.
