RMP Competizione headed back to Calabogie Motorsport Park for the second time this season. Arriving to the track Friday we setup our pits in the paddock for the weekend. 
Saturday morning practice went well, running the track in the short configuration.Qualifying was next, both RMP Competizione drivers Rocco Marciello and Daria Khachi qualified well, Rocco 2nd in GT2 and Daria 2nd in GT3.
Race 1 was held late Saturday afternoon. Rocco Marciello in the M235iR had some tough battles with fellow competitors leading most of the race until his tires became very worn and the car began sliding around, he was unable to secure the lead and finished in 2nd in GT2. In GT3 Daria Khachi battling with high hp nascar style trucks placed 3rd in class.
Race 2 and 3 were held on the Calabogie Long Circuit on Sunday.
Race 2 was on a damp track early Sunday morning after a rainy night. Rocco made the the best of the old used tires was able to finish the race in a respectable in 3rd in GT2. Daria in GT3 fell back a few positions due to overly worn tires as-well. We decided to save our best tires for the trophy race.
Race 3 was the last race of the weekend for Pirelli GT sprints. RMP Competizione had prepared the cars for this race. Installing a new set of Pirelli Slicks on Rocco’s M235iR and a newer set of tires on the E46 M3 of Daria Khachi.Rocco was able to utilize the grip of the new tires and after the second lap made his way up to the lead of GT2 and held it securing the 1st place position in the trophy race. Daria also made his way up the field to finish in 3rd position in class.

This goes to show that hard work and preparation and good strategy’s will lead to victory.
