This was the first event back at CTMP since May. RMP Competizione was out on Friday for some pre race testing.Testing went well for all the RMP drivers . Rocco Marciello, Johannes Tjiang and Bruce Wylie. With some tweaks to the suspension, handling was improved, and brought down the lap times.
Saturday morning practice went well, all drivers warmed up the cars for the upcoming qualifing and races.Qualifying went well, in GT1 Rocco Marciello battled the higher powered V8 Corvette’s and Camaro’s once again. With our chassis setup and tuning, Rocco pushed the limits of the M235iR and qualified 3rd overall with a lap time of 1:25.5.
In GT3 Johannes Tjiang qualified 3rd and Bruce Wylie 4th.The races this weekend were very eventful, with each RMP Competizione entry tuned and setup the races were underway. In GT1 being the only 6 cylinder car, Rocco Marciello battled well, producing some of his quickest lap times around CTMP with some good wheel to wheel racing , finished in the top of the field.In GT3 Johannes Tjiang and Bruce Wylie battled eachother producing lap times of 1:31’s.
This putting them on the top of the field in GT3. Alot of personal best’s were set this weekend, and from this race on we will prepare the cars further to make them even better for the next events .
