The CTCC finale was held Canadian Tire Motorsport Park August 23-24.
RMP Competizione prepared both Rocco Marciello’s and Michael DelleDonne’s BMW M235iR’s for rounds 9 and 10.
With practice and qualifying Friday morning, both cars ran extremely well. Rocco qualified top 3 in GT Sport with a best set lap time of 1:24.8 and team mate Michael not far behind with a 1:26.5.

The round 9 race was Friday afternoon. The two cars ran very well, Rocco in 3rd spot overall produced some quick lap times until the left front Pirelli tire failed on the inside causing a blow out putting him out of control close to hitting the wall. He managed to control the car to a stop and park behind the corner 2 barrier. This promoted team mate Michael DelleDonne into 3rd position in GTS.

Round 10 the Finale was held on Saturday, we prepared the cars for the race, cleaning and rechecking alignment and chassis of Rocco’s car after the incident. With a fresh set of tires, Rocco and Michael were both ready to race.
Starting the race in the previously qualifed times, Rocco and Michael raced a good battle with many Audi TCR RS3’s, a GT4 spec Audi R8 and a Mercedes AMG. As the race went on the tire grip degraded and vibrations started in both cars. Rocco managed to nurse the car smoothly until the finish, but Michael had unfortunate luck as another Pirelli tire blew out, causing Delle Donne to not finish the race. This blowout cause damage to the left front of his M235iR.

This finale results locked in Rocco’s 2nd place Position for the CTCC GTS championship and Michael in 3rd.
