After our last event at Canadian tire Motorsport park, we prepared our M235ir for our next event of the CTCC championship at Calabogie Motorsport park.
With testing and slight changes to our setup on Friday, Both Rocco and the M235iR were ready for the weekend events.
Practice was held Saturday morning on CMP’s short track. We made some changes to prepare the car for qualifying.
Rocco quailifed 2nd in GT sport mixed in with a field of TCR cars.
In race 1, Rocco battled a Audi R8 V10 as well as many AUDI RS3 TCR’s, this made the race very interesting, he drove the car to our fastest lap yet on the short track and finished 2nd in class behind the Audi R8.
Qualifying for race 2 was held on Sunday Morning. This time on CMP’s long configuration. Qualifying was held early morning in rain. The M235iR was quickly switched over to rain setup to qualify.
Qualifying went well, again in the 2nd spot for race 2 of the weekend .
The sky cleared up and The final race of the weekend was held in the dry. We setup the car and installed set of slicks. The race went well with many exciting battles. With a great start of the race, Rocco was also able to also achieve our fastest lap on the long circuit so far with a laptime of 2:12. Trying to preserve tires on CMP’s very rough surface we finished in 2nd position once behind the Audi R8 V10.
