With testing on Friday, RMP Competizione dialed in the cars for weekend competition .
Qualifying was held Saturday morning, RMP Competizione driver Rocco Marciello in the BMW M235IR qualified first in GT2 for the afternoon race. Rocco started the race on the pole and ran a great race defending the position with fast consistent laps, the consistency led to 4th place overall and victory in the GT2 class.
Race 2 was held Sunday morning. RMP Competizione battled for many positions in many classes this race. Rocco in GT2, Daria Khachi in his BMW M3 in GT3 and John Dipchand in his RMP chassis prepared Honda Integra in GT4. Rocco lead and finished the race in 1st in GT2, with very fast lap times besting the GT2 time bracket. Going faster then GT2 time limit came with a penalization of start position for the afternoon race to 22nd position. Daria Khachi positioned 2nd in GT3 and John 2nd in the GT4 class.
Race 3 was the final race of the weekend. Rocco started 22nd overall due to the class breakout and had work ahead of him.
Rocco started the race extremely well making his way up to 7th overall after only 2 laps, positioning him right behind the GT2 leader. After a couple of laps battling the leader Rocco overtook the leader. Rocco held the lead the remainder of the race to finish 3rd overall and first in GT2. Daria Khachi breaking out of class a lap in this race, he was able to finish 3rd in GT3 and John Dipchand finished 3rd in class with a class breakout aswell.
This weekend showed that RMP Competizione prepared the cars excellently with many podiums and class wins!
All the cars ran flawlessly.
The points collected this weekend furthered Rocco Marciello’s and RMP Competizione’s lead in the GT2 championship.
